Playbooks gain stacking and single media, and the spend total in your header now covers the whole period
This release gives hub teams more control over how a playbook spends, and makes the spend total in your header count budget you have already committed.
More Control Over How a Playbook Spends
A hub builds one playbook and every location runs it. A small difference in offer, format, or timing used to mean building a second playbook.
What's new:
- Stacking lets a playbook launch a new run as its own campaign, with its own name, while the current run keeps going. The opt-in states which behavior applies before a location confirms.
- Single media switches a playbook's ads so each impression shows one image or one video instead of a carousel. Flamel splits the ads or ad sets for you.
- A single media split keeps your custom and percentage budget amounts, and the campaign total does not rise.
- An opt-in question can stay hidden when a location picks a specific offer, for example "Hide when Offer is Free Trial".
Where to find it: Paid Social Ads > Playbooks, then edit a playbook.
See the Full Cost Before You Confirm
What's new:
- When your hub charges a fee on spend, the opt-in confirmation names that fee and shows the final total before you confirm. Hubs with no fee see the previous screen.
- When a hub keeps budget control, a location cannot submit a different budget. A hub editor can still change it.
- Flamel checks Meta's minimum budget for your schedule before it creates or amends an opt-in, and names the minimum.
- Changing only the media on a running opt-in leaves the approved budget as it is.
Where to find it: Paid Social Ads > Playbooks > Opt-In, and Manage Opt-In for a live run.
The Spend Total in Your Header Covers the Whole Period
The Week and Month tabs used to stop at today, so budget a playbook had already committed for later in the period counted as nothing.
Your header number can look larger
The total now includes committed budget for the rest of the period, plus your hub's fee on that amount. A hub can see a much larger number with no new spend. Open it to see how Spent, Committed, and the fee add up.
What's new:
- Week and Month cover the whole calendar period, and the header states the range, for example Aug 1 to Aug 31.
- Committed includes budget a live playbook is scheduled to spend later in the period.
- Spent does not change, and past periods do not change.
- Each projection stops at the campaign's own end date.
- The Spend page presets still end at today, so that page can report a smaller Committed total than your header.
Where to find it: the spend total in the header of any Paid Social Ads page.
Smaller Fixes
- Media that a pending or scheduled post still needs cannot be deleted by accident.
- Every tab in Manage Hub, including the new Customize tab, fits a phone screen.
- The onboarding page no longer scrolls on its own while you fill it in.
- A Google Business Profile location Flamel cannot reach appears in the Drift Queue summary and in the analytics coverage warnings.
- A social account that has lost its connection is flagged on Connected Accounts.
- Your hub can name the people who receive the ad account payment alert.
- Only hub admins can run a connection check or repair a connection.
This release was about more room to shape a playbook, and a header number that reflects what is already committed.
