Design Editor

Crop, add text, apply filters, and edit images without leaving Flamel.

For everyone

Brand colors and fonts from your Brand Kit appear automatically in the editor, so everything you design stays on brand.

Open the editor

There are three ways to start designing. Pick whichever matches where you already are.

From the Media Library

Design editor canvas

Open the Media Library, click any image, then click Edit (also labeled Design) to open it in the editor.

From the sidebar

Click Design in the sidebar, then pick an existing image or upload a new one to start from a blank canvas.

From a post or template

While editing a post or template, click the edit icon on any attached image to jump straight into the design editor with that image loaded.

Crop your image

Drag the crop handles to frame your image by hand, or pick one of the presets below to match a platform's preferred dimensions.

Add and style text

Add a text layer

Click the text tool, type your copy, then drag the layer to position it on the image.

Pick a font

Choose one of your brand fonts (pulled from your Brand Kit) or a web font.

Make it readable

Add a shadow or outline so text stays legible over busy backgrounds. Make text larger than you think you need to, since mobile screens are small.

Apply filters and adjustments

Use a preset filter for an instant mood, or open the manual sliders to fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, and warmth. Once you find a combination you like, reuse it across your posts for a consistent look across the feed.

Add shapes, stickers, and drawings

Drop in geometric elements for frames or highlights, add pre-made stickers, or use freehand drawing for annotations and signatures. Layer elements with bring-forward and send-backward to control what sits on top.

Save your work

When you are done, choose how to save.

Which save option?

Choose Save as new when you want to keep the original image untouched (the safer choice). Choose Replace original only when you are sure you no longer need the unedited version.

Get better results

Start with high-resolution source images: the editor can crop and adjust, but it cannot invent detail that was not there. Save your brand colors in your Brand Kit so they appear instantly in the color pickers. If you make the same kind of edit again and again, build a Template instead.
