Post Ideas
Capture inspiration as Post Ideas, organize your backlog, and convert ideas into scheduled posts.
For everyone
Workspace owners capture their own ideas, and Hubs can distribute pre-approved ideas to every workspace. Both kinds live side by side in your Post Ideas library.
Post Ideas is a holding place for inspiration. Capture a spark now (title, description, and optional media), then convert it into a full post whenever you are ready. Ideas do not need to be fully formed: a quick phrase like "customer spotlight series" or "behind the scenes Tuesdays" is enough to jog your memory later. The goal is capturing the idea, not producing a finished post.
Capture an idea
Open Post Ideas
In the Organic Social module, go to Organize > Post Ideas.
Start a new idea
Click the + button to open a fresh idea.
Add a title and description
Give the idea a short title and jot down the description. This can be a single phrase. The description becomes your starting caption later, so capture enough to remember the concept.
Attach reference media (optional)
Add any reference media or notes: images from a photoshoot, competitor examples, or visual inspiration. This context makes the idea faster to develop into a post later.
Add timing context (optional)
Note when the idea should be used, for example "Good for summer campaign" or "use when X product launches." This turns your library into a planning tool, not just a collection.
Save
Save the idea. The whole process takes seconds, and the idea will be waiting for you when you are ready to create content.
Organize your ideas
As your library grows, the Post Ideas view helps you find the right idea fast.
Browse and search
Browse all saved ideas in one place, and search by keyword to find a specific concept.
Filter by date
Filter by creation date to narrow the list down to a timeframe.
Sort the list
Sort ideas chronologically, or by when they were last modified, to surface the most relevant ones.
Two ways teams use Post Ideas
Some teams treat Post Ideas as a content backlog, adding ideas during brainstorm sessions and then drawing from the pool when building their content calendar. Others use it spontaneously, adding ideas as they occur and converting the best ones into posts. Either approach works.
Turn an idea into a post
Open the idea
In your Post Ideas library, click an idea to open its detail view.
Create the post
Click Create Post. Flamel opens the post editor with your idea pre-filled: the description becomes your starting caption, and any media you attached is ready to use.
Refine the caption and media
Refine the caption, then add or swap media as needed. Your saved reference media and notes make this faster and more focused.
Select accounts and schedule
Select your target accounts and schedule the post. The idea has done its job of preserving your concept until you had time to develop it fully.
Hub ideas
Pre-approved ideas from your franchisor
If you are part of a franchise network with a Hub, you may see ideas distributed from your franchisor. These Hub ideas appear in your Post Ideas library alongside your own, giving you pre-approved content concepts that already align with brand strategy.
Hub ideas are especially useful for seasonal content, promotional campaigns, and brand initiatives. They give you an on-brand starting point that you can then customize with local details and personality before scheduling.
