Merge or rebrand a workspace
Combine two locations into one or rename a workspace when branding changes, without losing what matters.
For Hub admins
Workspace deletion is permanent. Export anything you want to keep (analytics, media, post history) before you merge or delete a workspace.
Two situations bring you here: a location kept the same storefront but changed its name (a rebrand), or two workspaces now represent a single business that needs to become one (a merge). The steps differ, so start with the section that matches your situation.
Rebrand (same location, new name)
Use this when the location is the same physical store but the brand or name has changed. Nothing is deleted, you are updating details in place.
Rename the workspace

Go to Organization, open the Workspaces tab, open the workspace, update the name, then Save.
Update the location row
In Hub Locations, update the location name and any changed details (website URL, phone, neighborhoods).
Update Brand Kit overrides
If this location has custom brand overrides, update them so new content reflects the new brand.
Reconnect socials if Page names changed
If the Facebook or Instagram Page names changed on Meta's side, the workspace owner reconnects them from Connected Accounts.
Merge (two locations become one)
Use this when two workspaces now represent the same business. One workspace survives and the other is deleted, so move everything you need onto the survivor first.
Deleting a workspace is permanent
Deletion removes post history, analytics, media, and settings for that workspace. There is no undo. Finish every move onto the survivor before you delete.
Choose which workspace survives
Keep the one with more history, more connected accounts, or active playbooks. This is the survivor; the other is the closing workspace.
Export anything you need from the closing workspace
Pull the analytics CSV, media library, and post history. Once you delete the closing workspace, it is gone.
Move users to the surviving workspace
Go to Organization, then User Seats, and reassign anyone who should still have access. Remove anyone who should not.
Reconnect socials on the surviving workspace
If the merged business will keep using the closing workspace's Pages, reconnect them under the survivor in Connected Accounts.
Delete the closing workspace
Go to Organization, then Workspaces, open the closing workspace, then Settings, then Delete Workspace.
Last chance to back out
This permanently removes the closing workspace's post history, analytics, media, and settings. Confirm you have already exported anything you need.
Reconcile the Ad Configuration on the survivor
On the surviving workspace, open the Ad Configuration table and make sure the row reflects the combined operation: correct location, audiences, CTAs, and lead forms.
Confirm the budget on the survivor
Open Billing, then Budgets and set the survivor's workspace budget to reflect the combined operation.
Rename the survivor if needed
If the merged business uses a new name, rename the surviving workspace so future content and reporting use it.
After a merge or rebrand
- Confirm Connected Accounts is active on the survivor.
- Confirm active Playbooks are still enrolled.
- Confirm Location data is correct for ad targeting.
- Update external references (websites, email signatures) to the new name.
